Howard Greenfield, MD
Dr. Howard Greenfield, founder and Principal of Enhance Perioperative & Anesthesia Consulting, is a board-certified anesthesiologist who has a thorough understanding of the financial and clinical needs of both hospitals and anesthesia providers.
Throughout his career, Dr. Greenfield has worked with hospitals and providers to align incentives and develop cost effective and timely solutions to OR management. In addition, he has expertise in optimizing anesthesia group and OR performance by working collaboratively with hospital administration, surgeons, operating room nurses and anesthesiologists nationwide.
Dr. Greenfield is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine and completed his anesthesia training at Jackson Memorial /University of Miami. Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he was one of the original founding partners of Sheridan Healthcare. Dr. Greenfield spent his clinical career at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, and was Chief of the Anesthesia Department from 1998-2003. As Chief, he provided clinical and operational oversight to an Anesthesia care team working in 24 operating rooms.
In 2005, Dr. Greenfield became Clinical Administrator of Anesthesia Operations at Sheridan Healthcare. He was promoted to Vice President of Business Development & Recruiting in 2007 and remained in that position until November 2009. In this position, Dr. Greenfield was an integral part of a group charged with organic growth of the Anesthesia division as well as hospital based physician group acquisition.
Robert A. Stiefel, MD
Dr. Robert Stiefel, founder and Principal of Enhance Perioperative & Anesthesia Consulting, is a board-certified anesthesiologist who has in-depth experience in both the clinical and financial aspects of successfully managing hospitals and health systems.
Throughout his career, Dr. Stiefel has worked with many of the nation’s largest health systems to deliver sustainable improvement in their ORs, and develop strategies to meet the challenges of an ever-changing healthcare environment.
Dr. Stiefel is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine with over 20 years experience as a clinician, consultant and strategist. In addition to being co-founder of a large physician practice management company and numerous hospital-based physician groups, he also has experience in medical billing and collection through creation of an anesthesia billing company.
In a decade of consulting for hospitals nationwide, Dr. Stiefel has led numerous initiatives including re-design of medical group governance, subsidy negotiations, policy/procedures, compensation methodology and implementation. His areas of expertise include managing physician groups and their contracts with hospitals, budgeting, staffing, performance incentives, efficiency targets and contract development as well as operating room process improvement.
Holli Greenfield, RN, BSN
Holli Greenfield is a registered nurse who has extensive experience serving in nursing leadership and organizational administrative positions.
In her role at EPAC, Ms. Greenfield oversees the company’s operational management including staff education and compliance with Joint Commission standards, contract negotiations, payroll and human resources for over 50 employees.
Ms. Greenfield graduated from Hahnemann/Drexel University School of Nursing in 1991. She began her nursing career at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, and in 1994 relocated to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. During her tenure at MRH, Ms. Greenfield was Charge Nurse of a 24 room operating suite and Team Leader for Trauma and Vascular Surgery. In 2002, she became Nurse Manager at Memorial Same Day Surgery Center and was promoted to Administrator in 2008.
Throughout her career, Ms. Greenfield has promoted the development of effective communication and relationship building with physicians and employees; identified cost-reduction strategies across organizations and established a family centered care approach. She also has consulted with numerous facilities to prepare them for Joint Commission surveys.
